Dynamic Catalysts provides replacement emissions catalyst elements for stationary natural gas reciprocating engines. We supply the Canadian Oil & Gas and Power Generation markets with high quality emissions catalyst elements to fit any housing.
We have the knowledge and expertise to provide correctly sized emissions catalyst elements that are below engine OEM back pressure limits, meet space velocity criteria, and achieve high NOx conversion rates. Mounted on the exhaust system of a healthy engine, the service life of our best emissions catalyst element will exceed 3 years. Some of our customers have catalyst elements in service for over 5 years.
With increasing attention to methane (CH4) emissions we now are able offer methane catalysts for certain lean burn engine applications.

Catalyst element square
Product Specifications
Catalyst elements can be custom made to your specific shape and dimension. The number of layers and compartments per square inch are tailored to meet emissions reduction targets.

This is the most common catalyst element found in emissions control systems. Normally 3.5 inches wide, the diameter is determined by exhaust gas flow, OEM backpressure limits, space velocity and exhaust pipe diameter.

The unique design of the DynaCat housing and emissions catalyst element provide the most flexibility for retro fits and guarantees zero exhaust gas slippage around the catalyst element which can occur in the drop-in style housings. The housing is compact and comes with pre and post sensing ports to monitor temperature and exhaust gas pressure.

We offer precious metals reclamation services for the active metals; Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium. When a catalyst is deactivated or damaged, there is value in the recoverable precious metals at current market prices. We will credit their value towards the purchase of our new DynaCat catalysts or send you a cheque.

emissions control technology working with Augie DeCapite, an expert in the field of catalyst
chemistry,
Dave has gained expertise in emissions control pertaining to industrial natural gas fired
engines. His knowledge of NOx emissions reduction using catalysts, air fuel ratio control systems, and
catalyst maintenance / management has benefitted many customers in the Oil & Gas and Power
Generation industries.
Dave’s knowledge and understanding of the Federal Multi Sector Air Pollutants Regulation (MSAPR)
makes him an excellent resource for fleet emissions compliance strategies.
Augie DeCapite - Bio
Augie is an Emissions Catalyst Expert who is a SAIT Grad, Chemical Engineering and Power Engineer.
Alberta 3rd Class Certificate.
He has over 50 years of catalyst experience in numerous process operations such as:
Sour Gas Processing Plant, Compression, Electrical Generation, Sulfur Plants, Boilers, at the Amoco
Windfall Plant.
Petroleum Refining, LPG’s, Gasoline, Kerosene, and Diesel at the ESSO Canada Calgary and EXXON
Baytown, Texas refineries.
Petrochemicals – PETPAC, Pharmaceuticals – Tylenol, APAP Sunscreen, Chemicals Industry – Ammonia, Nitric Acid with Engelhard Corporation, inventors of the automotive catalytic converter.
His operational experience extends to Fluid Catalytic Cracking, Hydro Processing, Catalytic Reforming,
Alkylation, Nitric Acid production, and supplying quality catalysts to the oil and gas industry.
